Fees for sending money for local USD payouts

The total Wise fee will vary depending on the currency you’re sending from and how you pay for your transfer, such as Wire, ACH or your Wise balance — you’ll see the total fee when you set up a transfer.

How USD payouts work for Hong Kong, Singapore, and Ukraine

Sending money with the local USD payment network happens through our partnerships with domestic banks. The money travels on domestic payment rails, instead of Swift, which makes your local USD payout faster, ensuring the recipient gets the exact expected amount.

The easiest way to see the total fee is by setting up a transfer in the Wise app. Once you’ve added your recipient, we’ll be able to show you the exact fee — you’ll always see this before you send your money.

For USD payments to Hong Kong, sometimes the beneficiary bank in Hong Kong may charge some fees. This may be deducted directly from the amount sent, or charged to the recipient separately by their beneficiary bank. If it's the former, the recipient will receive less than you have sent them. If a payment is unsuccessful, your refund might also be less than what you originally sent due to these charges.
