If you've noticed suspicious transactions or phone was lost or stolen, you can secure your account with a lockdown. Wise may also lock down your account to protect you and your money.
What happens when I secure my account?
When you secure you account Wise will do the following:
We'll log you out everywhere. You will be logged out on all devices. No one will access your account without verification.
We'll cancel any pending transfers. All transfers will be stopped immediately. No money will leave your account.
We'll suspend your Wise card(s). All payments with your Wise accounts will fail until you've logged in again.
We'll reset your password. Next time you login, we will have you change your password.
How to lock down your account
Select your profile icon or initials.
Select Security and privacy under Settings.
Select Secure your account and confirm to secure account.
What happens next?
We will send you an email to your registered email address with instructions on how to regain access.
Click the Log back in link in the email.
Follow the verification steps and complete a biometric check. For this step you will need to take a picture so we can verify it's really you.
Select Continue.
Reset your password.
Your access has now been restored. If you think your card details have been stolen or used for unauthorized purchases, we recommend you cancel and order a new card.
