Connecting your Wise account with accounting software

You can connect your Wise account to various accounting softwares directly from Wise, or by using open banking — depending on the software.

Available Integrations

You can find the list of supported accounting integrations on the Wise Business App Marketplace.

Please choose your business location from the list in the top right corner, where you'll also find the language and flag options, as the available selections vary by region.

If your software isn’t listed

  • Check with the provider to see if they have open banking connections, and if they allow a connection with Wise.

  • If they don't, you can request it by Logging in and selecting Request an App in the App Marketplace.

How to Connect

The steps to connect your Wise account vary based on the accounting software you choose.

Xero and QuickBooks

You can set up the connection directly from within your Wise account.  Quickbooks connection steps vary based on features you’re looking for. For detailed guidance, go to Connect your Wise account with QuickBooks.

  1. Log into your Wise account

  2. Select your name in the top corner

  3. Under the Settings, go to Integrations and Tools

  4. Select Apps and Software

  5. Choose the accounting software you'd like to sync from the list of apps.

Other accounting software

The connection between Wise and other accounting software is established through Open Banking. This means that, with your consent, third-party providers (TPPs) access your financial data and act as intermediaries, enabling a secure connection between your Wise account and the accounting platform.

  1. Log in to your chosen accounting software

  2. Go to the section where you can add or connect a bank account. The exact location varies, check the software’s help centre for detailed steps

  3. When asked to select your bank, search for Wise in the list or search bar

  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to continue with the connection

  5. You'll be redirected to Wise — log in when prompted

  6. Choose the business profile and currency balances you want to share

  7. Confirm access to authorise sharing your balance activity with the software

The authorisation to share your data with accounting integrations will expire after 90-180 days. You’ll need to reauthorise sharing your data after the expiration due to regulations. For more information about open banking regulations:

  • UK Customers: visit The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

  • European Customers: visit Payment Services Directive (PSD2)

  • Australian Customers: visit Consumer Data Right (CDR)

  • Other Regions: Some countries have their own open banking regulations. Please refer to the relevant guidelines for your region.
