You can use money in your account to make payments, convert money between currencies, or spend money with your Wise card.
There are a few different ways that you can add money to your account.
Please note — the methods on this page are for adding money to your main account within Wise, and not for adding money to jars or groups.
How do I add money in the Wise app?
This is also known as a top-up. You're topping up your account by adding money within the Wise app.
To add money:
From Home, select Add Money, or select the specific currency you want to top up, then select Add.
Enter the amount and currency that you want to add.
Choose your preferred payment method and select Continue to payment.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment.
For BRL: due to Brazilian regulations, IOF tax will be charged if you add BRL when paying in another currency.
How do I send myself money directly from my bank?
This is also known as a third-party payment. Another way to add money to your account is to send it directly from your bank to your Wise account details via a bank transfer (direct deposit) like a third-party payment. You don’t have to set up a Wise transfer with this method. It will be the same as someone else sending you money to your account details.
To send yourself money:
You’ll first need to get account details, if you don’t have them already.
Select the currency that you want to receive money in, and select the account details button to view and copy them.
Then, from your online banking, set up a bank transfer and add your Wise account details as the recipient.
Follow the on-screen instructions from your bank to complete the payment. Contact your bank if you have any questions for this step.

spend with your Wise card
convert between currencies
and eligible customers can hold money as Interest or Stocks
