Spend Less Time Typing: The Faster Way to Pay Invoices with Wise
We're thrilled to introduce a powerful new feature designed to save you time and eliminate the frustration of manual data entry when sending money. Now, setting up a new recipient is faster and easier than ever before.
The feature, called "Upload screenshot" (for customers) or "Upload invoice" (for businesses), uses AI to prefill the fields with the recipient's data when sending money through Wise.
This feature is available to all customers—both personal and business—globally on desktop, iOS, and Android.
How It Works: The Power of AI
Upload screenshot or invoice uses advanced generative AI to simplify the process of sending money. Instead of manually switching screens and typing data, you can easily upload a file, and our system does the work.
The Simple 3-Step Flow:
- Upload Your File: After you choose to add a new recipient, you'll see an option to upload a PDF, PNG, or JPEG file. This could be an invoice, a bill, or even a screenshot of bank details sent via message. The file must be less than 10MB.
- AI Pre-Fills the Data: Wise uses AI to scan the uploaded document and automatically pre-fill the recipient details, transfer amount, and other necessary fields on the Wise payment form.
- Review and Send: You must review the pre-filled information to ensure it's correct before proceeding with the transfer. Once you verify the details are correct, you can proceed with the payment.

- Saves Time: Automating data entry removes the need for tedious manual switching between documents and the Wise app. New customers, for example, save an average of 36 seconds when setting up a recipient using the new feature compared to manual bank detail entry.
- Builds Trust: By providing an efficient and seamless experience, the solution aims to build confidence in the transfer process. Currently the feature covers 97% of transfers created on the send flow.
- Multilingual Support & Accuracy: The feature can read files in all languages with an accuracy of up to 98.4% across all bank details fields.
