To receive CAD with Interac Autodeposit all you have to do is set up your CAD account details and register your email with Interac. Here’s how:
Get CAD account details if you don’t have them already
From your CAD balance, select Request, then Receive with Interac.
Register your email with Interac
You’ll receive an email from Interac — follow the instructions in the email to complete your registration
You’ll then receive a confirmation email that your Interac account is registered with People’s Trust, our CAD banking partner.
You can now share your email address with others so they can send CAD directly to your Wise account.
How does it work?
Interac is an interbank network for receiving e-transfers (payments) without sharing your bank details.
When others send money to your registered Interac email address, you'll receive it into your Wise balance.
There are no fees to receive Interac payments
You can receive payments 24/7 — usually they arrive within 20 minutes
You can receive 25,000 CAD per day. However, the sender’s bank may have limits on how much they can send.
It's not available for businesses at the moment, but we're working on it.
You can only have one Autodeposit account per email address, so if you connect your email with Wise, it’ll remove Interac Autodeposit with your other bank.
Do I need to claim payments?
With Interac Autodeposit, your money will be sent directly to your Wise account so there’s no need to claim it.
You can only receive with Interac using Autodeposit — we don’t currently support Interac e-Transfers which require you to manually claim the payment.
How can I unregister Interac Autodeposit with my Wise account?
From your CAD balance, select Receive, then Receive with Interac.
Select Unregister email from Interac
If you accidentally disconnected your Autodeposit from Wise just follow the initial steps above to re-register your account.
