To follow regulations, we need to collect and store your occupation data if your address is in the European Economic Area (EEA) or if you have EUR account details (Belgian or Spanish IBAN). This helps us keep your account safe and meet our legal requirements.
Who does this apply to?
You'll need to share your occupation if:
Your profile address is in the European Economic Area (EEA)
You have a Euro (EUR) account with us (Belgian or Spanish IBAN)
When do I need to provide this?
If you're a new customer, we'll ask for your employment status, industry, and job role when you sign up. This happens after you've selected your address.
If you already have an account, we'll ask for these details when you perform certain actions in the app.
If you can't find your exact job role: Our list includes a wide range of industries. If you don't see your specific role, please choose the closest match.
How do I change my occupation details?
You can change your occupation in the Wise app or on the website.
Tap on your profile picture or initials in the top-left corner.
Select Personal details, then Personal information.
Change any details you need and select Save.
