Additional security features if you live in Singapore

In this article, we'll cover the additional security features you'll benefit from if you have a personal account registered in Singapore. Make sure you keep your Wise app updated so you have access to all the latest security features.

These features are to help us keep your money safe alongside your increased holding and spending limits effective from July 2024.

Non-clickable buttons and links in emails

To protect you against phishing, we’ll show you the whole URL in plain text which can't be clicked.

Make sure the URL starts with https://wise.com, then copy and paste the link into your browser to view the page.

We recommend using Gmail, Apple, Outlook, or Yahoo email providers for this security feature to work best and keep you protected. Wise can't guarantee the same level of effectiveness with other email providers.

Adjustable transaction limits

For your Wise card, your default spending or ATM withdrawal limit is 1,000 SGD or equivalent in any currency.

You can change your limits from your account by going to the Cards tab and then Limits.

Option to log out across all devices

If you suspect someone else has access to your account, you can instantly log out from all devices, block your account and cards, and cancel any pending transactions to protect your money.

To do this:

  1. Log into your Wise account on web

  2. Select your profile icon in the top corner

  3. Go to Security and privacy

  4. Select Log out everywhere

Extra security for high risk activities

If you increase your transaction limits, update your email or phone number, turn off notifications, or set a recipient as trusted we'll

  • require an additional authentication to confirm it’s really you

  • notify you if a high risk activity has taken place on your account. If it wasn’t done by you, you can take immediate steps to secure your account

  • add a 12 hour cooling off period if you log into a new device. During that time you won't be able to complete any high risk activities.

These features are in addition to the security measures available to all global customers, which you can learn more about here.
