To use Wise in Thailand, we need to verify your identity. It’s how we keep your money safe and comply with regulations.
The verification process usually starts when you set up your first transaction.

Frequently asked questions
What if my details are different on my documents or Wise profile?
You must update your documents or your Wise profile to ensure everything matches before starting verification.
Mismatched details are a common reason for verification delays.
What if my photos were rejected as blurry or unclear?
Make sure you take photos in good lighting and avoid glare.
Make sure all text is sharp and readable.
What if I'm a foreigner and don't have any of the accepted documents showing the right to live in Thailand?
Unfortunately, you'll need at least one of the accepted documents (visa in an acceptable category, work permit, or residence permit) to verify your identity with a Thai address. If you don't have any of these, you won't be able to complete verification in Thailand.
You may still be able to open a Wise account using your home country address instead.
What if I'm a foreigner and my visa category isn't on the acceptable list?
We can only accept visas in the categories listed above. Tourist visas, short-term stamp visas and certificates of residence are not accepted.
What if I have a Work Permit but the first page has expired?
We'll check the extension stamp on the second page. Make sure the serial number matches on all pages.
What if I don't have a bank account with any of the participating NDID banks?
You'll need to open an account with one of the participating banks and complete their identity verification first before you can verify with NDID on Wise.
What if my NDID request timed out?
You have 1 hour to complete the NDID approval. If it expires, simply start the process again from Wise and approve it promptly in your bank's app.
What if my Thai ID details check failed?
Double-check that your Thai National ID number, name in Thai, date of birth, and laser code are entered correctly and match your physical ID card exactly.
Do I need NDID if I only want to make a bank transfer?
No. NDID is only required for opening a multi-currency wallet, ordering a Wise card, or getting local account details.
What if I think my document was rejected by mistake?
If you've reviewed the requirements above and believe your documents meet all the criteria, please contact our support team.
