From Home, open a GBP balance if you don’t already have one, and select Get account details.

2. Share your Swift details

In your GBP account details use the international account details, and share these details with your sender. These details include your Swift (BIC) code, account number, and GBP IBAN

Let the sender know that you want to receive in USD so you can avoid conversion fees. Some banks might recognise the GBP IBAN and want to convert to GBP, but this isn't necessary.

If their bank asks them the country of the recipient’s (your) bank, tell them to put the United Kingdom.

Some banks or services, such as Stripe, may not accept the GBP IBAN because we're connected to SEPA so you might not be able to send to your GBP details if that's the case.

3. Get paid

You usually receive your payment in under 1 working day, but it can take up to 5 working days. Once we receive your money, we'll add it directly to your USD balance.

There's a fee to receive Swift payments, which you can see on our pricing page and some banks charge correspondent fees for Swift transfers.
