Using Pix Automatico for recurring payments

Similar to direct debits, with Pix Automatico you give permission to a company, also called a merchant, to take regular payments from your account. You might use Pix Automatico to set up automatic payments, such as monthly subscriptions to the gym or streaming services.

You can initiate Pix Automatico in two ways:

  • by scanning a QR code (or pasting a Pix copy-paste)

  • by approving a request from the merchant or recipient.

Scanning a QR code or pasting a Pix

To initiate a Pix Automático:

  1. Select Payments in your home page

  2. Select Direct Debits

  3. Select New

  4. Select BRL as the currency

  5. You can choose from:

    • Scanning a QR code

    • Pasting a Pix key

    • Sharing a Pix key

  6. Scan the QR code or enter the code (depending on your choice in the previous step)

  7. Review and Authorise

If you choose the option to share a Pix key with the recipient, select Share to locate the contact and complete the action.

Approving a request from the merchant or recipient

When someone asks you to pay them, you'll see a notification on your home page to review the request.

Before you approve any recurring payments, you can set a spending limit. For example, if you set a limit of 30 BRL for a merchant's automatic Pix payments, any charge above 30 BRL will be automatically rejected.

  1. Select Review

  2. Select the option that requires approval

  3. Review details and click Authorise and pay or Reject
