I may be the victim of fraud or a scam

If you sent out a transfer, but believe you've been scammed, this article covers what you should do.


1. Report the transfer to us

  1. On your Wise account, select the transfer from your activity that you want to report

  2. Select the question mark symbol "?".

  3. Depending on the type of transaction, you'll see a few options. Select the correct transaction and select I think I’ve been scammed or similar, and then Report a scam

  4. Provide as much detailed information as possible, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can

Get in touch with us immediately if:

  • You have difficulties using the self-service flow

  • You’ve been scammed by a Wise user

  • You believe somebody else made a payment using your Wise account

2. File a police report

If you’re the victim of fraud — a crime has been committed against you. So please report it to your local authorities. We always help the police with their investigation when they get in touch with us.
