How do I change my Wise card spending limits?

All Wise personal customers have daily and monthly account spending limits, which is the amount that can be spent by card and withdrawn from ATMs across all cards on your account. You can also choose to set spending limits on specific cards.

How to change your account spending limits

On web

  1. Go to the Cards tab

  2. Select Your spending limits

  3. Select Edit in the Account limits section

  4. Enter your new your limits, and Confirm

On the app

  1. Go to the Cards tab

  2. Select Your spending limits

  3. Select Edit in the Account limits section

  4. Enter your new your limits, and Confirm

You can also view and edit your spending limits on your profile, under Limits.

For US-issued cards, you’ll have different kinds of spending limits, which you can edit individually. You can only change between default and maximum limits. 

How to manage spending limits for a specific card

Some US customers can only set new limits for a specific card on web.

Setting new limits for one of your cards

On the web

  1. Go to Cards

  2. Select the card you’d like to set limits for

  3. Select Set limits for this card

  4. Enter the daily and monthly spending limits you’d like to set for this card, and confirm

On the app

  1. Go to Cards

  2. Select Your spending limits

  3. In the Limits per card section, you’ll see a list of all your cards. Select Set limit next to the card you’d like to set limits for

  4. Enter the daily and monthly spending limits you’d like to set for this card, and confirm

Viewing, editing or removing an existing limit for one of your cards

On the web

  1. Go to Cards

  2. Select the card you’d like to set limits for

  3. Select Limits for this card

  4. If you want to edit the limits for this card, select Edit. If you want to remove the limits, select Remove limit.

On the app

  1. Select Your spending limits

  2. In the Limits per card section, you’ll see a list of all your cards. Select the card you want to view, edit or remove the limits for.

  3. This will show the limits you’ve set for this card. If you want to edit the limits for this card, select Edit. If you want to remove the limits, select Remove limit.

Business cardholders

The way you change your limits on a business account is slightly different.
