Bank transfer | 0-3 working days |
Wise Balance | Instant, if the money hasn't been sent out |
Other payment methods | Varies by currency |
*Working days are Monday to Friday, and don't include public holidays.
If you want the specifics for your currency, check our list of supported currencies. Refund information is at the bottom of each page.
Why hasn't my refund been processed yet?
We can only refund your money once we receive it. If you paid by sending a bank transfer from your account and then cancelled it, we have to wait for your original payment to arrive. Once it arrives, we'll automatically process your refund.
Similarly, if your transfer was sent out but returned to us by the recipient's bank, we'll process your refund as soon as we receive the money back. The time this takes depends on external banks.
Why do card refunds take longer?
When you pay with a card, your refund can take up to 10 working days. This is because both our payment partner and the bank that issued your card need to process the refund. We can't speed this process up.
What should I do if my refund hasn't arrived?
If the timeframe in the table has passed and your money hasn't arrived yet, here’s what to do next:
Share the transfer receipt with your bank. Your bank can use the tracking details on it to help locate the money. Learn how to get a transfer receipt.
If your bank can't help, upload a bank statement. If sharing the receipt with your bank doesn't work, we'll need to investigate. Please upload a bank statement showing all transactions from the date the refund was issued until today. This helps us confirm the refund hasn't arrived.
