How do I receive money with my GBP account details?

Account details are a set of details for a currency to receive money.

Once you have your GBP account details, you’ll have your own account number, sort code and BIC where you can receive British pounds.

This isn’t a bank account, but you can receive money in the same way by sharing the account number and sort code with friends, family, clients or companies, so that they can send you money.

They can pay you locally from their British bank, or internationally by Swift. Once you receive the money, it’ll be credited to your GBP balance.

Opening new account details

You’ll first need to open a GBP balance. Then you select Get your account details and follow the steps.

We’ll need to verify you before we can provide details to you.

Checking your account details

To see your details once you’ve got them, on the app or web:

  • Go on your GBP balance

  • Select the account details button just under the currency

  • You can view and copy your local account details to share with others

You can also request payments from your sender.
