How do I connect my Wise account with Sage BOB?

Connecting your Wise account to Sage BOB allows your Wise currencies to automatically sync with your accounting software, making tracking your multi-currency transactions simple and efficient.

Connection is provided via Ponto, a secure third-party provider. You need to have an account with Ponto to enable this connection.

Which countries is the Sage BOB integration available in?

This integration is currently available for businesses registered in Belgium and Luxembourg. 

How do I connect my Wise account with Sage BOB?

1. Sign in to Ponto:

Make sure that you're registered with Ponto. If you're an accountant and you don’t have access to manage your client’s accounts, you can request authorisation to become their representative in Ponto. To do so:

  • Log in to Ponto

  • Go to the Organisation settings and generate the representative invitation link that you can share with your clients for authorisation.

If you're a business owner, you can invite your bookkeeper or accountant to your Wise business account as a team member. You control exactly what they can see and do — their access is limited to the permissions you choose. 

Grant them the Manage software integrations and tools permission.

Once you have an account with Ponto and an access to Wise account, follow the steps:

  • Within Ponto, go to the Accounts section and click on Add an Account

  • Under the Choose your bank section, select Wise

  • Authorise your connection with Wise

2. Connect your bank account to Sage BOB:

  • Sign in to Sage BOB 

  • Navigate to the Retrieval section and select account statement processing module 

  • Choose Ponto on a right hand side bar 

  • Select Connect with Ponto

  • Accept terms of use of the Ponto service 

  • You'll be redirected to your company’s Ponto account

3. Choose accounts from Ponto:

  • Choose the name of the organisation created for your company on a Step 1

  • Ponto will generate a secure, one-time consent link and redirect you to the Wise login page

  • Sign in to your Wise account and review the data sharing access rights

  • Choose which currencies to connect. Note that you can't edit the list of connected currencies afterwards

  • If the accounts you wish to connect to Sage BOB don't appear on the screen, they haven't been linked to Ponto. To do this, you need to reconnect to Ponto and complete Step 1.

4. Confirmation:

  • Confirm your setup. Your Wise account is now securely connected with Sage BOB.

Ponto will now automatically fetch your new transactions from the connected Wise currencies and sync them into your Sage BOB software every 4 hours.

How to manage your connection? 

  • Dashboard Management: Use the Ponto Dashboard to manage account links and mandates. You can revoke or renew authorisations as needed

  • Renewal Requirement: Legislation requires account connection authorisation to be renewed every 6 months for security

What happens if I open a new currency in Wise after setup?

If you activate a new currency (e.g., EUR) in your Wise account after setting up the connection with integration, you'll need to reconnect to include it.

To sync the transactions from this new currency to Sage BOB, you need to disconnect and set up the connection again by following the same steps as the initial setup. 

How do I disconnect my Wise account from Sage Bob?

  1. Log in to your Wise Business account on web

  2. Select your business name in the top corner

  3. Go to Integrations and Tools under Settings 

  4. Select Apps and Software

  5. Find integration and click Disconnect

Note: Since the connection is set via our third-party provider, Ponto (or Isabel Group) will appear instead of Sage BOB. This will disconnect all your Wise connections to Applications that you have connected via Ponto.
